About the role
Saev Hernandez Immigration Practice, PLLC is a boutique immigration law firm in Nashville, TN. We emphasize employment-based and family-based immigration. We work with many Spanish-speaking individuals. Our office is in a historic building in the vibrant Germantown neighborhood. We are looking for a full-time paralegal to support our attorneys.
Job Duties
- Prepare immigration petitions and applications under the supervision of attorney
- Use templates and checklists to prepare documents and correspondence for attorney review
- Obtain translations and education evaluations
- Perform legal research
- Interact with clients to collect documents and information
- Document interactions
- Maintain up to date “living lists” of documents needed and up to date reminder lists in case management software
- Save and organize digital documents using our document name conventions
- Use office systems to assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Help write blog articles about topics in immigration law and bureaucracy
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, update templates
- Run reports, develop and use case flows and checklists for various case types
- Use software including LawLogix, Caret Legal, Cognito, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Outlook), GotoConnect phones/texting, Dashlane, and Zoom
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong and constant attention to detail, commitment to excellent work product
- High level of organization and ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written
- Exceptional writing skills, especially in English
- Computer savvy, including Office 365 and pdf software, and open to evolving tech stack
- Cultural humility
- Disposed to treat clients and team members with compassion and dignity
Job Schedule
Schedule 5 days 8-hour shift per day Monday to Friday (40 hours, no overtime)

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Immigration paralegal experience is not required. But the expectation is for willingness to learn quickly on the job and become expert in aspects of U.S. immigration law arising frequently in our cases.
