About the role
The attorney will engage in community outreach, including community consultation sessions and know-your-rights trainings, and will assist in the preparation of periodic grant reports.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal assistance in a range of humanitarian-based immigration law matters, including but not limited to removal defense, VAWA petitions, U and T visas, SIJ petitions, and asylum cases.
- Engage in community outreach activities such as community consultation sessions and know-your-rights trainings.
- Aid in the preparation of periodic grant reports.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
- Experience in immigration law preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
- Commitment to serving immigrant communities.
Skills
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Effective oral advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
