About the role

The attorney will engage in community outreach, including community consultation sessions and know-your-rights trainings, and will assist in the preparation of periodic grant reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal assistance in a range of humanitarian-based immigration law matters, including but not limited to removal defense, VAWA petitions, U and T visas, SIJ petitions, and asylum cases.
  • Engage in community outreach activities such as community consultation sessions and know-your-rights trainings.
  • Aid in the preparation of periodic grant reports.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Experience in immigration law preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Commitment to serving immigrant communities.

Skills

  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Effective oral advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
