Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel.
- Supervise Imaging Services personnel involved in advanced imaging modalities: CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Non-Invasive Cardiology, Vascular Lab, Interventional, Neurodiagnostics or Mammography procedures.
- Ensure department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed.
- Oversee quality programs and advanced modality accreditations through the American College of Radiology (ACR) or Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
- (For Mammography) Ensure compliance with FDA MQSA Regulations.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when necessary.
- At least one advance imaging credential, depending on the specific modality.
- May require additional certifications based on department needs.
- (Exception: Interventional Radiology supervisors may not need an advanced credential, but are encouraged to have one.)
- Licenses from Indiana State Department of Health, as required per specific modality.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to the assigned area.
- Knowledge of modality accrediting agencies and their standards, per specific modality.
