Imaging Services Advanced Supervisor
About the role
The position is full-time, days at Arnett Hospital, in the ultrasound department. The shift is Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. It is preferred that candidates have experience in ultrasound.
Responsibilities
- Planner, director, and coordinator of daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel.
- Supervises Imaging Services personnel involved in advanced imaging modalities: CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Non-Invasive Cardiology, Vascular Lab, Interventional, Neurodiagnostics or Mammography procedures.
- Ensures department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed.
- Responsible for oversight of quality programs and advanced modality accreditations through the Amercian College of Radiology (ACR) or Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
- For Mammography - ensures compliance with FDA MQSA Regulations.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
- Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT), the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), as required per specific modality.
- Must have at least one advance imaging credential. May be required to have additional certifications dependent on department needs.
- Exception: Supervisors working in Interventional Radiology are encouraged but not required to meet the advanced credential requirement.
- Licenses from Indiana State Department of Health, as required per specific modality.
Qualifications
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
- Knowledge of modality accrediting agencies and accreditation standards, per specific modality.
