Imaging Service Engineer 1

Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is looking for a highly skilled and confident Imaging Service Engineer I to support Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND. Altru Health System is a community of over 3,100 health professionals and support staff dedicated to serving approximately 230,000 residents in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner.
• Repair, maintain, and calibrate medical imaging devices in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records within the department's tracking systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency technical support when needed.

Requirements

• Either 1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.) or a senior biomedical equipment technician with over 3 years of experience willing to receive training in the imaging space.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required.
• Ability to complete preventative and corrective maintenance on medical devices.
• Specific experience with Siemens or GE Ultrasound, X-Ray portables, C-Arms, and general X-Ray is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for maintenance and repair of clinical devices, or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment, or entry-level formalized training or equivalent military training.
