Imaging Sciences - Diagnostic Radiology - RN 1 or 2, Inpt
Responsibilities
Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
Exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic environment of diagnostic imaging caring for patients undergoing imaging in the hospital setting while collaborating closely with radiologists and imaging technologists to deliver high quality patient care. We specialize in caring for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI's, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray and Ultrasound.
The diagnostic nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort and care of patients while providing education, administering contrast agents, sedatives, and other medications that aid in image quality.

Requirements
ACLS and PALS required within 6 months. Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred.
Qualifications
Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience.
Skills
This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.
