Imaging Repair Technician

Job Description

Customer Service:

• To provide customer service with timely and accurate repairs to radiology equipment.
• To assist with installations of imaging systems.
• To provide emergency service in an on-call capacity.

Equipment Knowledge:

• The incumbent serves as a source of technical information and training.
• The incumbent assists with extended travel to attend OEM training.

Regulatory Knowledge:

• The incumbent must provide good documentation of maintenance to meet FDA and JCAHO requirements.

Budget:

• The incumbent is expected to provide input in budgeting and have an understanding of all departmental functions.

Requirements

• An associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Radiology Technician and at least five years’ experience on specific imaging systems is preferred.
• The Incumbent must know JCAHO, NFPA, and SMDA standards.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• This position requires the ability to trouble-shoot electronic equipment to component level.
