Repair Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, repairs, maintenance, and testing of equipment daily.
  • Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Repair all floor and carpet care equipment sold by the company, as well as other makes and models when applicable.
  • Label and repair all machines brought into the Service Center.
  • Perform preventative maintenance when applicable.
  • Complete and submit detailed service reports daily.
  • Properly fill out repair work orders upon job completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
  • Document processes and procedures as needed.
  • Engage with customers professionally to assess and fulfill their service needs.
  • Provide recommendations and briefings based on customer requirements.
  • Clock in and out for service appointments.
  • Coordinate with Sanitary Maintenance Consultants, Service Center Manager and Coordinator for scheduling service appointments.
  • Estimate labor and parts costs when requested and communicate them to customers.
  • Follow all company policies, protocols, and government-mandated safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear and approved clothing at all times.
  • Drive and operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, inside and out.
  • Regularly check and maintain vehicle fluid levels (oil, battery, radiator, power steering, and brake fluid).
  • Dispose of all trash appropriately.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and teamwork.
  • Support company goals by maintaining high performance and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a mechanical or technical repair role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with diagnostic and repair experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, instructions, and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuitry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based tools.
  • Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
  • Positive, energetic, and motivated.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations while maintaining composure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a technical and mechanical mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to pass job-related employment screenings.
