Imaging Assistant I

About the role

We are searching for a talented Imaging Assistant to join our team at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. This is a per diem position with flexible shifts and hours that vary.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including patient transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting patients on and off the imaging table.
• Perform modality-specific duties as assigned.
• Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures.
• Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules, and assist with retrieval of outside images.
• Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
• Assist with special projects such as Quality Assurance and Education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; additional specialized courses or training preferred.
• Computer skills required, including knowledge of hospital departmental computer systems.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.
• CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or sign an exemption statement for medical or personal reasons.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $16.42 - USD $26.72 per hour.
