ILS Instructor / Independent Living Skills Instructor

About the role

Independent Living Skills Instructor (Full-Time)

We provide ILS Instructors with training to empower clients to achieve their personal goals of independence and community participation. Caseloads range from 3-6 clients.

Responsibilities

• Teach independent living skills in a motivating, personalized, and professional environment.
• Support clients in achieving goals such as money management, medical and dental care, basic cooking, public transportation, housing, and benefits utilization.
• Plan and participate in at least one community outing per month with each client to support skill building, social engagement, and independence.

Requirements

• A desire to help others.
• Access to a reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and auto insurance.
• Pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; we provide training.
• Background in social work, social services, mental health, or case management is beneficial.
• Comfortable handling unexpected challenges and able to respond quickly.
• Willingness to learn new things and adapt to changes.

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
