Pay: $16.90 per hour
About the role
Applicants will be considered for any power jack start type opening on the posted shift. The work environment is cold and damp, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. Jobs are fast-paced, require repetitive motion, and involve constant standing, walking, and operating powered material handling equipment. Some positions require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs; Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs.
Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is required to qualify within Tyson Foods, Inc. Successful candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Label, organize, and align pallets in cooler
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required)
- Work collaboratively to adhere to Tyson’s safety culture
- Perform material handling tasks, including lifting heavy items
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months of operator experience (can be a combination of employers)
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required
- Must accept work in a cold and damp environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion
- Certain roles require background checks
