Responsibilities
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hosting technologies
- Analyzes requirements and system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and resulting design plans
- Administers, operates, manages and maintains components for on-premises and cloud-based virtualized systems
- Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients
- Plans and directs upgrades of Windows Server infrastructure and related components in the area of Active Directory, Domain Controller topology, LDAP, Authentication Services, DNS, Permissions and Access Controls and Group Policy
Required Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory design and implementation
- Experience with Group Policy Management
- Experience with Windows DNS and DHCP
- Experience with LDAP
- Experience with Active Directory Federation Services
- Experience with Active Directory Domains and Trusts
- Experience with monitoring of Microsoft systems using System Center Operations Manager
- Experience with Microsoft deployment methodology options to include Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and System Center Configuration Manager
- Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 experience is optimal
- Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager and/or Forefront Identity Manager experience is optimal
- Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Experience building/managing servers in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Vmware based environment is desired
- Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow
- System configuration experience and hardening based on security guidelines, such as DISA STIGs
- CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570/8140 certification
