Key Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering across network, compute, storage, OS, middleware, databases, and applications.
- Document current architectures, design modernized solutions, and execute implementations/upgrades.
- Ensure systems meet availability, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Integrate systems with DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines and troubleshoot cross-stack issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams for seamless operations.
- Produce technical documentation and act as escalation authority for complex issues.
- Communicate technical details to executives and translate them into business impact.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
- Infrastructure & Platforms: Networking (e.g., routing, firewalls, DNS); Storage (SAN, NAS, object storage); Containers (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Cloud & On-Prem Technologies: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration; Cloud networking, identity, security, and cost optimization.
- Data & Application Platforms: Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB); Web services, APIs, middleware, and event-based messaging systems.
- Engineering & Automation: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation); Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management; CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitLab); Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, ELK).
Desired Technical Requirements
- Mining tools (e.g., logging, metrics, tracing).
- Zero Trust security architectures.
- AI/ML platforms and big data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Databricks).
- ITIL processes, agile methodologies, and production environment support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field, or the equivalent combination of or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Experience: 15+ years.

About the Role
- We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer (SME) with deep experience across infrastructure, platforms, and application ecosystems spanning cloud and on-premise environments.
- The role requires a proven practitioner who can analyze existing ("as-is") systems and applications, document current state architectures, design future-state solutions, and implement system enhancements or technology transformations end-to-end.
- The ideal candidate is a technical leader and doer who can seamlessly collaborate across infrastructure, platform, application, DevSecOps, information systems security, and data teams while maintaining ownership of system reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
