IDD Community Services Coordinator

About the role

We are hiring for an IDD Community Services Coordinator at RHA Health Services. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating with local area agencies to provide community-based services to individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and mental health or substance use challenges.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate unit capability to provide high-quality care to eligible individuals.
• Initiate, negotiate, and follow through with area agencies to offer community-based services.
• Collaborate with local agencies to ensure services are acceptable to all parties involved.

Requirements

• Requires a four-year degree in a human service field and three years of experience with the population served.
• Psychology from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Physical requirements include regular lifting of up to 70 lbs., squatting, kneeling, crawling, crouching, climbing, and stopping.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
• Must be able to talk and hear.

Qualifications

Education, licensure, and experience required for the position include a four-year degree in a human service field and three years of experience with the population served. A psychology degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.

Skills

Positive interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with local agencies, and strong organizational abilities are essential.
