ICU Technician – Neurosurgery – FT – Evenings
About the Role
At the heart of the NewYork-Presbyterian nursing team is an invaluable care provider, thriving at the bedside for patients and families: the ICU Technician. Committed to care, our ICU Technicians bring comfort, calm, and compassion to patients and families. They excel in tasks such as drawing blood and performing EKGs, where expertise and superior service make a significant difference. As the eyes and ears of an award-winning nursing department, ICU Technicians collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to raise the bar and prioritize patient care.
This full-time evenings shift position is based at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center, focusing on neurosurgery.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing.
- Deliver compassionate care and comfort to patients and families.
- Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to enhance patient care.
- Take initiative in balancing patient care and clinical practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of current Nursing Attendant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
- Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) as on-site presence is required.

Pay
Salary Range: $29.93-$32.07/hourly.
