About the role
The ICU Technician plays a crucial role in the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center's CTICU, providing compassionate care and supporting nurses and nursing attendants.
Responsibilities
- Draw blood and perform EKGs with precision and care.
- Monitor vital signs and conduct blood glucose tests.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Take initiative to enhance patient care and clinical practices.
Requirements
- At least one year of current Nursing Attendant experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Completion of a skills inventory for a Nursing Attendant.
- Recent training or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of patient care protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
