About the role

The ICU Technician plays a crucial role in the award-winning nursing department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. They provide essential patient care services such as phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring, and blood glucose testing.

Responsibilities

- Draw blood and take EKGs with precision and care. - Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to ensure the highest level of patient care. - Monitor vital signs and perform blood glucose tests as needed. - Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients and their families.

Requirements

- At least two years of current Nursing Attendant experience in a healthcare setting. - Completion of a skills inventory for a Nursing Attendant. - Recent training or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.
