ICU RN PRN - Nightshift

About the role

Registered nurse providing professional and technical nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care while supporting hospital standards and fostering a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others, ensuring understanding and engagement in care processes.
• Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient information.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Take personal responsibility for professional growth and performance.
• Utilize the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum six months of RN experience.
