About the role
We are seeking an experienced ICU nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center within the Step-Down ICU and ICU units.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
- Develop and implement personalized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Apply critical thinking skills to identify and escalate patient care concerns
- Provide guidance and support to other units as needed
- Ensure patient safety and improve patient experiences
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
- Current Illinois nursing license
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
