About the role
This role involves providing direct patient care in a 6-bed Critical Care Unit with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and contribute to ongoing professional development.
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Current RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and < 2 years of experience.
- Ability to work safely, remaining alert and attentive at all times.
