ICU RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)
About the role
Provides direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Ideal for nurses with 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience interested in critical care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through active participation and ongoing professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team and families, while considering patient preferences, cultural, and emotional needs. Utilizes advanced nursing skills to evaluate physical and psychosocial needs in a state-of-the-art environment. The position is safety-sensitive, demanding alertness and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and care planning
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge needs
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care
- Maintain documentation of care activities and patient progress
Qualifications
Requires RN licensure and a diploma or associate degree in nursing; a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.
