ICU Clinical Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care in an ICU setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. This role requires a dedicated nurse committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in a critical environment, with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
• Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
• Performs advanced critical care procedures such as insertion of central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, and manages life-support equipment.

Qualifications

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 2 years of ICU experience.
• ICU experience and BSN preferred; certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are advantageous.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills; ability to work safely and alertness is essential.
