Ice Cream Truck Driver-Greenville

Your Role

Are you looking for a part-time seasonal job that lets you meet new people and make them smile? As an ice cream truck driver, you'll drive our ice cream truck around the greater Greenville/Spartanburg area. You'll visit neighborhoods, events, and more to hand out free ice cream to people.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the ice cream truck around the community, neighborhoods, and events
• Give out free ice cream
• Keep the ice cream truck looking great by washing the truck, sweeping the inside, and keeping things tidy
• Ensure the truck doesn't run out of ice cream, including running to the store to stock up before events when needed
• Work some evenings and weekends to visit events in the service area
• Smile, wave, and interact with the public when approached
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior experience driving large commercial vehicles
• Pristine driving record
• Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
• High level of maturity and responsibility
• Excellent verbal communication skills; fluent in the English language
• Alignment & commitment to company values (honesty, integrity, fairness, and respect)
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong familiarity with places within the greater Greenville/Spartanburg area and the towns and cities surrounding it
• Prior basic logistics experience
• Prior customer service experience
• CDL

• Patient and comfortable with kids, including managing the chaos of children choosing ice cream and handling kids in bad moods without getting flustered
• Strategic thinker who knows how to choose impactful locations and can pivot when a stop isn't working to maximize time efficiently
• Able to manage long lines and serve many people quickly
• Clean driving record with safe driving habits
• Love summer weather and can handle hot conditions inside the truck
• Know the Greenville/Spartanburg area well, including great spots around GSP
