Weekend Driver/Server (Ice Cream Truck)

Scream Truck is the world's first experiential, personalized ice cream delivery service! Our unique custom-built trucks combined with our proprietary customer service software creates a completely frictionless on-demand experience that revolutionizes the ice cream and food truck business model. Customers sign up to receive text alerts whenever Scream Truck is servicing their neighborhood, they simply reply Y to request a stop. Scream Truck delivers premium “soft scream” treats (sundaes, cones & shakes) made fresh to order outside the customer's home. We serve a large number of communities in Northern and Central NJ.

About the role

The Operator's primary responsibility is service with a smile—preparing fresh soft-serve Scream treats in our mobile kitchen and delivering happiness! In our big pink trucks, Operators drive the vehicle (working alongside a Co-Operator who assists with navigation). Upon arriving at each reserved stop, the team steps into the mobile kitchen to efficiently prepare fresh, Instagram-worthy soft-serve treats. With a lively personality and positive attitude, the team handles pre-paid mobile orders while managing time to ensure efficient arrival to the next destination (generally homes within and around the block).

Responsibilities

• Drive a large vehicle (training provided) to deliver ice cream in local neighborhoods
• Work alongside a Co-Operator to navigate and manage routes using GPS
• Prepare fresh soft-serve treats in a mobile kitchen at each stop
• Handle pre-paid mobile orders with a positive, customer-focused attitude
• Maintain efficient time management to ensure timely arrivals at destinations

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old or older
• Weekend availability (Friday–Sunday)
• Exceptional people and communication skills
• Upbeat, friendly, and outgoing personality, eager to serve customers happily
• Ability to efficiently navigate local neighborhoods using a map and GPS
• Strong work ethic with a “can-do” attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the food service industry
• Experience driving a truck or large vehicles
• Skilled in public speaking
• Strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to alternate between sitting and standing frequently during shift
• Ability to travel efficiently through a cabin approximately 2.5 feet wide
• Controlled fine motor skills to prepare fresh, made-to-order treats
• Ability to reach above head for items on shelves
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
