Ice Cream Project Team Lead

About the role

The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) is seeking a Project Team Lead to manage and execute capital projects within our dairy manufacturing operations. Specifically, this role focuses on the E2E design and delivery of capex projects at the St Albans and Waterbury sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of industrial projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project integration.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and cost targets.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management preferred, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing industrial or capital projects in food or dairy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of dairy processing systems, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in managing improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders.
• Ability for independent decision making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs for our customers (the factory).
• Participation in cross-plant improvement teams.
• Development of strong partnerships with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering, and union workforce.
• Support for root cause analysis on process and utilities issues.
• Bring new Ways of Working to the Engineering community in our continued pursuit of the lowest installed cost.
• Execute projects by delivering the best Value without compromising any Values.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. The position is bonus eligible.

Schedule
