Ice Arena Attendant

About the role

The Ice Arena Team is seeking four enthusiastic individuals to contribute positively to the community. This position involves operating the Zamboni and working closely with various user groups at the rink. Weekend and evening shifts are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide general information and process transactions at the front desk, including registrations, memberships, passes, and cashiering.
• Operate ice resurfacer, skate sharpener, and other ice maintenance equipment like the Zamboni, Olympia, and ice edger.
• Maintain and set up areas for special events, such as shoveling snow and moving furniture.
• Ensure participant safety and enforce policies during events.
• Clean and organize the cashier station and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Complete daily operational reports and inspect safety equipment.
• Represent the City of Casper by interacting professionally with the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in a public setting providing customer service preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Wyoming Driver's License required.

Qualifications

• Customer service principles.
• Cashiering and mathematical calculations.
• Standard safety practices and procedures.
• Basic principles of health and sanitation standards.

Skills

• Operating in a courteous, knowledgeable, and tactful manner with staff and general public.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Operation of modern office equipment, software, and operating systems/applications.
• Safe operation and handling of equipment and supplies.
• Ability to handle multiple customers simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the City of Casper core values.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Benefits
