I&E designer

About the role

Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 10+ years of experience in AutoCAD 2D Design, INTools and SPI, complying with API Standards codes and NFPA standards in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals and associated industries.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for the client.
• Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations, and the client team for project requirements.
• Develop detailed design drawings for instrumentation and electrical (I&E) deliverables using AutoCAD and SPI.
• Interface with the client design team in India to coordinate project scope discussions and design review discussions.
• Work with vendors for vendor‑specific items and update the relevant I/E drawings.
• Perform quality review and validation of final deliverables before submission to the client.
• Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed.
• Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and manage the internal flow of data and design changes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Instrumentation and Electrical Design.
• Strong working knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation design codes including NEC/NFPA and API standards.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SPI software.
• Experience in 2D drafting, SPI and INTools.
• Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, Loop Drawings, Instrumentation Layout drawings, Hook‑up Drawings, JB Drawings, and Control room FTA (highly desirable).
• Experience in Electrical design for low voltage (below 480 V) (preferred).
• Experience developing Area Classification drawings, One‑line diagrams, Earthing/Grounding Layout, Power drawings layout.
• EPC/EPCm experience (preferred).
