Hyperbaric Safety Director(LPN or RN preferred)
About the role
The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, educate, and orient patients about hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
- Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
- Participate in safety programs and conduct safety drills.
- Coordinate and approve hyperbaric chamber upgrades and repairs.
- Lead the hyperbaric safety program and maintain a safe environment.
- Document daily hyperbaric treatments and patient records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
- Pre or post-hire completion of an approved HBO Safety course.
- Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical demands include being in a stationary position for extended periods, frequent keying, moving about, lifting up to 75 pounds, and proximity to moving objects.
