About the role
The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring the safety of patients and staff. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-care environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy safely and effectively.
- Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
- Evaluate and restrict potentially hazardous equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing management to develop and revise department policies and procedures.
- Lead the hyperbaric safety program, including conducting safety drills and responding to incidents.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 99 and other safety standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
- Pre or post-hire completion of an approved Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Safety course.
- Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
- Hyperbaric equipment and related systems troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail.

- Physical demands: Stationary position for extended periods, frequent keying, moving about, lifting up to 75 pounds, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching, detecting sounds.
- Work environment: Patient care environment, exposure to hazards (blood borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases).
- Physical capabilities: Close, distance, and peripheral vision, reaching/grasping/touching with hands, detecting sounds by ear.

Pay
