About the role

The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring the safety of both patients and staff. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions.
  • Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
  • Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
  • Participate in safety programs and conduct safety drills.
  • Evaluate and restrict potentially hazardous equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate and approve hyperbaric chamber upgrades and repairs.
  • Document daily hyperbaric treatments and patient records.
  • Lead the hyperbaric safety program and maintain a safe environment.
  • Assist in developing and revising department policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
  • Pre or post-hire completion of an approved Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Safety course.
  • Pre or post-hire completion of an approved hyperbaric Medicine Introductory course.
  • Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.
  • Prior experience in wound or critical care.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
  • Hyperbaric equipment and related systems troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and assist patients in relaxation techniques.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $29.75-$39.36 per hour.

Schedule

Primarily full-time, with the possibility of part-time arrangements based on operational needs.
