About the role
Sobieski Custom Homes Division is seeking a full-time Hydronics Mechanic specializing in custom home projects. The primary responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of hydronic heating and cooling systems such as boilers, radiant floor systems, and snow melt systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Work on boilers, pumps, radiant heating, and piping systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to hydronic systems
- Ensure quality craftsmanship and adhere to high standards
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational school and/or apprenticeship graduation preferred
- Journeyman certification highly favored
- 3+ years of experience in hydronics, plumbing, and/or HVAC
- Strong knowledge of boilers, pumps, radiant heating, and piping systems
- Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
