What You Will Do

• Operate and monitor processes within the SX, including PLS, SX circuit, and electrolyte tank.
• Collect and run plant samples.
• Maintain and adjust plant processes as necessary.
• Inspect pipelines, pumps, motors, ponds, rain gauges, dams, and berms.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and light-duty vehicles.
• Perform area housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• Six (6) months of experience in Hydromet processing operations.
• Knowledge of Solution-extraction and leach flow sheets.
• Proper shut-down and start-up procedures for copper sulphate and tank house electrolyte transfer systems.
• Knowledge of Pipelines and Valve systems.
• Completed academic and practical competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees).
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills, and pass a written assessment if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.

• The estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.00 - $32.00/hour. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.

• This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
