Hydromet SX Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor different processes within the SX, including PLS, SX circuit, and electrolyte tank.
• Collect and run plant samples.
• Maintain and adjust processes as necessary.
• Manage plant flows, including cell flows, acid flows, dump flows, and external flows.
• Inspect pipelines, pumps, motors, ponds, rain gauges, dams, dam diversions, and berms.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and light-duty vehicles.
• Perform area housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of experience in Hydromet processing operations.
• Knowledge of Solution-extraction and leach flow sheets.
• Proper shut-down and start-up procedures for copper sulphate and tank house electrolyte transfer systems.
• Knowledge of Pipelines and Valve systems.
• Completed academic and practical competencies required (Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists).
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills while passing a written assessment, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
