Hydromet Leach Operator Trainee
About the role
Performs duties related to the leaching process and leach field construction. May assist with and perform pipe fusions using fusing machine. Responsible for having knowledge of plant nomenclature to include sumps, pumps, and leaching areas. Has knowledge of various evaporative spray heads and drip systems and may assist with and perform the proper placement of these on leach fields. Assists with and performs clay treatment which may include using a filter press. Assists with and performs loading, delivering, and unloading pipe and materials. Operates mobile equipment such as skid-steer loaders, forklifts, boom trucks, and light duty vehicles. Assists with maintenance activities. Performs area housekeeping. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements
- Three (3) months experience in one of the following areas: Mining/Manufacturing Industrial Operations Commercial Construction Commercial Landscaping Commercial Agriculture.
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.
Qualifications
- The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
Skills
- Knowledge of plant nomenclature to include sumps, pumps, and leaching areas.
- Knowledge of various evaporative spray heads and drip systems.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment such as skid-steer loaders, forklifts, boom trucks, and light duty vehicles.

Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $27.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
Schedule
This role is eligible for non-standard schedules, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
