About this position
Hughes Technical Services, a division of AP4, is seeking a Hydraulic Mechanic.
What are your responsibilities?
The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for providing mechanical and technical support for shop operations, specializing in servo and actuator rebuilding, instrumentation guidance, and comprehensive equipment troubleshooting.
What will you do?
- Servo and Actuator Rebuilding. Perform rebuilding tasks with precision, ensuring high-quality workmanship and strict adherence to technical specifications.
- Instrumentation Guidance. Offer technical direction and expertise on instrumentation to support efficient shop operations.
- Equipment Troubleshooting & Diagnostics. Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Inventory Management. Track, organize, and replenish stock as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Work Order Management. Oversee work order workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Vendor & Customer Communication. Engage with vendors and customers to address inquiries and provide project/status updates.
- Logistics Support. Provide essential logistics support to facilitate efficient operational processes.

What do you need to qualify for this role?
- A High School Diploma required.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within a technical or mechanical environment preferred.
- Proven expertise in servo and actuator rebuilding, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical equipment and instruments.
- Strong organizational skills and experience in inventory and work order management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vendors, customers, and other internal stakeholders.
