Hydraulic Mechanic

About The Role

Transco Northwest Inc. is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Mechanic to join their maintenance and operations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems, and will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining these systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors.
• Overhaul hydraulic components and assemblies to restore performance to OEM specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and service manuals.
• Conduct pressure and flow testing to verify system performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to support safe and continuous operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and service documentation.
• Comply with company safety protocols and industry standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a hydraulic mechanic, preferably in the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic theory, troubleshooting, and system design.
• Ability to use hydraulic test benches and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in field or shop environments as required.
• Preferred certification in fluid power systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hydraulic control systems integrated with mechanical and electrical systems.
