Hybrid/Remote Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary

The Patient Access Specialist at Catalyst Physician Group will handle inbound and outbound patient communications via various channels. The ideal candidate will be proficient in utilizing advanced technologies to manage these communications professionally and efficiently.

Role And Responsibilities

• Manage online service accounts including Healow, ZocDoc, patient portal, and webchat
• Schedule appointments, update demographics, and route messages to appropriate team members
• Troubleshoot portal issues and verify/update patient insurance information
• Empathize with and coach patients in navigating the healthcare system
• Meet performance metrics and service level criteria
• Identify special needs and address patient concerns appropriately
• Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in work processes
• Follow HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information
• Follow clinical safety protocols and infection control procedures

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Experience using medical EMR systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Efficiently work in a fast-paced environment using advanced communication technologies
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a Primary Care office setting
• Athena EMR experience
