Role And Responsibilities
- Manage online service accounts including Healow, ZocDoc, patient portal, and webchat
- Appointment scheduling, demographic updates, and routing messages to appropriate team members
- Troubleshoot portal issues
- Verify and update patient insurance information
- Empathize with and coach patients in navigating the healthcare system
- Maintain performance metrics and service level criteria
- Identify special needs and take proper steps to ensure patient concerns are addressed appropriately
- Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in work processes and/or settings
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Experience using medical EMR systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment utilizing advanced communication technologies
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
