Hybrid Human Resources Generalist

We are a nonprofit healthcare organization seeking an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Smithtown, Long Island. This is a great opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional looking to gain broad exposure across HR operations within a busy healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR operational and administrative support
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll preparation and review
• Support new hire onboarding and employee lifecycle transactions
• Assist with benefits and leave of absence administration
• Maintain and review personnel files, HR documentation, and employee records for accuracy
• Support HR compliance, annual merit increases, and other department initiatives
• Maintain employee information within HRIS/payroll systems
• Provide limited recruiting support for entry-level and patient services positions
• Assist HR leadership with projects and general department needs

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of HR, HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or related experience
• Healthcare HR experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to full-cycle recruitment, payroll, benefits, leave administration, onboarding, and/or HR compliance
• Experience with ADP, Paychex, Paycom, or another HRIS/payroll system
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong critical-thinking and computer skills
• Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn and take on new areas of HR

Pay

$65,000–$75,000 annually
