About the role
We are Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, one of the region’s largest and most trusted providers of reproductive health care. Our mission is to provide a range of sexual and reproductive healthcare services while promoting social justice.
Responsibilities
- Floating to health centers to provide in-person and telehealth patient care
- Covering asynchronous e-visits and managing EHR Inbaskets
- Supporting health center teams by managing follow-ups and providing clinical support
- Participating in Care Coordination Team (CCT) sessions to manage abnormal results and sign off on lab reports
- Communicating with patients regarding complex care plans and urgent follow-ups
- Completing documentation of patient care in the medical record
- Maintaining billing and coding practices
- Performing telephone triage for clinical calls
- Providing medication abortion and participating in the evaluation and management of patients receiving procedural abortion services
- Ensuring compliance with affiliate protocols and medical standards
- Completing reappointment process with Credentialing every three years
- Engaging in quality improvement activities such as performing chart audits
- Collaborating with volunteers and other clinicians to support the agency's mission
- Ensuring patient access to care within PPSNE’s care team models
- Adhering to affiliate policies and procedures on professionalism, wait times, and client complaints
- Contributing to quality improvement goals and activities
- Ensuring interactions incorporate PPSNE values of integrity, partnership, client focus, communication, and quality
- Supporting culturally and linguistically competent services for diverse patient populations
- Building authentic relationships and demonstrating self-awareness in interpersonal interactions
- Communicating transparently and effectively about decisions
Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Nurse Midwife training program or Medical School
- Active licensure in good standing (State Medical License for CT and/or RI, Controlled Substance Registration, DEA)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare, primary care experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred (English-Spanish)

Pay
$138,156 - $165,787 a year
Schedule
Hybrid position, traveling to different sites at the affiliate as assigned, with a flexible schedule to meet patient access needs.
