HVACR Service Technician

About the role

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is seeking HVACR Service Technicians with a strong track record of customer service. Military Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Commercial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
• Service split systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX Systems, etc.
• Use HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.
• Test & replace parts using appropriate instruments.
• Be customer service focused.

Requirements

• EPA universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• 3 years of commercial HVACR experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to keep a drug-free workplace.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Work 10-hour days and overtime when necessary.
• On-call availability.
• Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Work efficiently in confined spaces.
• Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.

Skills

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, physical, and MVR.

Pay

$30 - $40 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

10-hour days and overtime when necessary.
