What You Will Do

We Are Looking For
- Practical work experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry
- Experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment
- Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and/or ammonia / hydrocarbon system components
- Maintenance of ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification
- Installation of complete systems including chillers, rooftop units, plumbing, and supporting mechanical systems
- Use of tools such as dial indicators, laser, vibration equipment, and pump/fan/compressor shaft alignment
- Travel may be required up to 20% to support branch customers
Required
- United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry membership or willingness to join
- Eight (8) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC and related industries
- Ability to repair and maintain centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon systems
- Valid driver's license and EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing
- Prioritize safety in all forms

Pay and Benefits
The pay rate is $51.15 per hour, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening by JCI. Successful performance may lead to recommendation for the Union Local apprenticeship program and continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by the Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or termination of the position may result.
