HVAC Technician Helper

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in performing assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting tasks safely in commercial and industrial settings on various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed.
• Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components as needed.
• Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to maintain systems.
• Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device.
• Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.
• Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years’ experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on commercial mechanical equipment preferred.
• EPA universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 hour preferred.

• Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved).

• Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a physical ability test.
• Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
