What You Will Do

• Train and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy to build skill sets for continued opportunities.
• Develop troubleshooting and customer needs resolution skills through coaching and mentorship.
• Keep stakeholders informed of job progress and issues.
• Maintain attendance for required Union training during the first year.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
• Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What We Look For

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• At least 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally to customers and other external contacts.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize safety in all forms.
• A valid driver's license.
• Prior 1-2 years of trade school or college education in a technical field preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $21-$34 per hour, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
