We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians with experience in air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs, or large rooftop ducted units, preferably in Industrial Petro-Chemical or Data Center environments. This role offers factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related issues.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Recommend and implement solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including chilled water loops, pumping, compressor enthalpy, and compressor rebuilds.
• Perform mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, lasers, etc., on pumps, fans, and compressors.
• Use vibration equipment to troubleshoot compressor drivelines.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair large tonnage chiller 460 VAC VSDs.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Enroll in training programs to gain expertise in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Work with local market mechanics and provide on-the-job training when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with customers, documenting problems, causes, and corrective actions.
• Provide quotes to customers and participate in Johnson Controls’ Service Plus Rewards program.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight (8) years of practical working experience on air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs, or large rooftop ducted units.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Universal EPA refrigerant license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
• Self-starter with a passion and desire to learn and apply on-the-job skills.
• Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills.

Pay

$38.65 hourly rate, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
