About the role
Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to join their team as a Special Projects Lead Tech. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $34.00 to $42.00 per hour or $70,720 to $87,360 annually, comprehensive benefits, apprenticeship opportunities, growth and development, and a scholarship program for employees' children.

Responsibilities
- Assist with and oversee installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
- Serve as a lead for special projects, including training and development.
- Understand and manage Air-to-air DX systems – Split Systems / Package Rooftop systems from 1 – 25 Ton minimum.
- Manage VRF multizone systems up to 30 tons.
- Work with Hydronic systems – Heat pumps / Scroll or Screw Chillers / Pumps / Tanks etc. Systems up to 50 tons minimum.
- Handle Sheet metal design knowledge and drawing production for fabrication orders.
- Size refrigeration piping systems from manufacturer requirements.
- Understand and manage Light Commercial low voltage control systems and diagnostic skills.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Able to work at heights.
- Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Able to climb and work on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl in order to work in tight spaces.
- Able to work within confined spaces.
- Able to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Able to use hands to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school or trade school graduate or have a GED.
- Journeyman license preferred.
- Universal Refrigerant certificate.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification required, additional training may be required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience of HVAC installation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy.
