About the role
Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to join their team as a Special Projects Lead Tech. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $34.00 to $42.00 per hour ($70,720 to $87,360 annually), comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death & dismemberment, health savings account (HSA), and employee assistance program (EAP). Responsibilities
- Aid in and oversee the installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
- Lead special projects, including training and development.
- Understand and manage Air-to-Air DX systems, including split systems and package rooftop systems up to 25 tons.
- Manage VRF multizone systems up to 30 tons.
- Handle Hydronic systems, such as heat pumps, scroll or screw chillers, pumps, and tanks, up to 50 tons.
- Work with Hydronic piping systems for hot water, chill water, and condenser water, and possess piping installation skills.
- Show Sheet metal design knowledge and ability to produce drawings for fabrication shops.
- Size refrigeration piping systems according to manufacturer requirements.
- Understand light commercial low-voltage control systems and possess diagnostic skills.
- Be physically capable of working outside in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing and working on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, standing for long periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in tight spaces, working within confined spaces, communicating effectively, and using hands to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or GED.
- Journeyman license preferred.
- Universal Refrigerant certificate and OSHA 10-Hour Certification required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- One to three years of HVAC installation experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy.
