HVAC Service Technician (Data Centers)

Critical Functions

• Start-up, commission, and support Building Management Systems (BMS) on equipment we represent
• Perform factory start-up, commissioning, and warranty service on Data Center equipment and systems we represent
• Perform electrical and mechanical inspections on equipment to ensure peak performance
• Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s)
• Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners
• Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customers
• Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Submit required paperwork to Data Mission Critical Administrator in a timely manner
• Work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks of the dedicated equipment on site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training plus 3-5+ years’ experience working as a Service Technician in a commercial environment
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
• Electrical knowledge required and EPA Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel substantially within operational region
• A flexible schedule may be required
• Willingness to work in adverse working conditions

• Demonstrated technical skills to explain product functionality to customers
• Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Proficient computer skills, such as Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills

Environmental Requirements

• Will be required to work in a field environment, report to and from the same site daily

Physical Demands

• Regularly use hands to operate computer keyboard
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting
• Continually climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and lift up to 75 pounds
