What Will I Do?
- Successfully perform routine maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect repair, and conduct maintenance on furnaces, condensers, and compressors
- Build client relationships by providing outstanding service through strong communication and customer service skills
- Identify opportunities for clients to improve their home comfort systems through product overview
- Complete all tasks in accordance with quality and safety standards
- Increase customer loyalty by maintaining a clean working area
- Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC, plumbing or electrical systems
- Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments
- Accurately estimate and invoice repairs and projects
- Document work completed with before and after photos
- Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
- Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer
- Demonstrate safe working practices and methods
- Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies
- Work with apprentices and entry-level installers to coach and mentor
Do I have What it Takes?
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service conducting maintenance, diagnosing & troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC system issues
- Mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of city codes
- Integrity and the ability to promote a positive company image
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis
- Results driven in a high-energy environment
- Detail oriented with good time management skills
- Can lift, carry, and maneuver a minimum of 75 pounds without additional manpower or appropriate device
- Must be able to work in the outside elements of heat and cold safely and on ladders and/or roofs medium to high heights
- Maintain well-groomed appearance and keep a clean uniform and work shoes
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
- Can crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
