HVAC Service Technician

About the role

This role is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting heating and cooling systems, helping homeowners understand their options, and delivering high-quality service that builds long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Respond to in-home service calls
• Diagnose system issues
• Complete repairs on heating and cooling equipment
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions
• Recommend solutions
• Explain repair or replacement options clearly to customers
• Document service work accurately
• Maintain an organized service vehicle
• Work closely with dispatch and customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
• Assist with mentoring apprentices and helping newer technicians

Requirements

• At least three years of HVAC field experience
• A strong understanding of residential heating and cooling systems
• Comfortable diagnosing equipment issues, performing system repairs, and explaining solutions to homeowners
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and best practices
• Ability to read basic diagrams or blueprints related to system layouts
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Qualifications

• Interest in continuing education and working toward industry certifications such as NATE
• Organized, dependable, and motivated to continually improve technical skills

Pay

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour, base pay depending on experience
Total Compensation Potential: Approximately $75,000 - $90,000 annually with performance incentives and commissions
